Our Origin
Founded in 2023 by mother-daughter duo Sydni and Emily, Read Our Lips is beauty with purpose. Sydni combined her background in pre-law, a Master's in Business, and years of makeup artistry to create a brand that goes beyond cosmetics. Emily's 20 years in international development exposed her to communities whose histories, cultures, and contributions were often overlooked or inauthentically represented. Together, they believed beauty could be a platform for representation, education, and inclusion. Through extensive research and testing, they developed a line of natural, cruelty-free, and sustainable cosmetics that celebrates the richness of BIPOC cultures while creating products designed for every shade and every story.
